Thanks to generous support from Sainsbury's we will be able to provide ALL volunteers with a packed meal on Friday 31st, Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd. For the rest of the week we ask all orienteering people to provide their own food. As a small gesture of gratitude to the Event Team members who are nothing to do with the sport of orienteering, and who have stepped forward to help us deliver our World Championships, we will be providing "Out of Sport" volunteers with packed lunches on other days. Please can we ask all volunteers to bring adequate water to drink as it's not easy providing drinking water in remote and temporary locations. Food and drink will be available to buy from Catering Outlets at all arenas.
We will be providing very limited, pre-booked transport, mainly for oversees volunteers. To help you get to your locations, and to maximise parking efficiency, we will be supporting informal lift shares. If you can offer a lift, or need a lift, please visit the Information Tent and leave your details. Please also speak to your fellow team members and offer and ask for lift shares. Be aware that the 6-days operates a pre-booked bus service to take participants to and from 6-day race locations and these are not always the same places or times as WOC races.
For Saturday 1st there is specific car parking for volunteers in Nairn: At Sainsbury's, Balmakeith Retail Park Nairn, IV12 5QW (on the grass) open 08.00-22.00.
For all other days, the parking for volunteers is at the main event parking. If you are entered into the Scottish 6-days, you can use your Parking Permit. If you are NOT entered into the Scottish 6-days please collect a Parking Permit when you collect your uniform and accreditation.

Social Media Guidelines
A home World Championships is a major event for us all. We want to share our excitement via Social Media but we have to take care not to compromise the fairness of competition. In orienteering, all course information is closely guarded from the athletes. Please do not share any information about your role or location until after the athletes are in Pre-race Quarantine. These times will be on your day information sheets.
You can follow the World Championships on Twitter @WOC2015 #WOC2015, and on facebook.com/WOC2015.
